earmen tradutto dac
Made from a solid billet of aluminium, the EarMen Tradutto DAC is a compact, fully balanced digital to analogue convertor covering a multitude of digital sound formats including PCM, DSD, DXD, MQA and MQA Studio.
The EarMen Tradutto can act as a DAC in a high-quality audio system, or as a DAC in a headphone based audio system.
The Tradutto DAC accepts digital signals via an optical digital input, a coaxial digital input, and a USB digital input. Analogue output is via a pair of unbalanced RCA phono sockets or a fully balanced jack output.
An aerial at the rear accepts wireless aptX HD bluetooth transmissions from phones and tablets, as well as other Bluetooth equipped products.
The EarMen Tradutto DAC uses the same ESS Sabre DAC found in Auralic's £2000 Altair G1 streamer, and has been designed for high performance hi-fi components to include MQA decoding. This chip allows the decoding of PCM/FLAC and DXD up to 768kHz, as well as native DSD512.
The Tradutto is as much at home as part of a compact headphone based listening system as it is in a full-scale hi-fi system, providing low-distortion, hi-resolution decoding of digital source components.
The external 12v power supply can be upgraded to improve sound quality.
