The SPA25 combines Primare's audio prowess with a very capable home theatre amplifier into a single, stylish case. With nine channels of amplification onboard, the SPA25 will provide high quality, immersive surround sound into any home with either a 5.1.4 or 7.1.2 Atmos configuration. With eleven channels of Atmos/DTS:X processing on board, 7.1.4 being possible with the addition of a stereo power amplifier. Five different speaker configurations can be stored, and any one of those assigned to each input, so when you choose your source, whether its to watch a movie or listen to music, the SPA25 switches to your chosen setup. Any configuration can also be manually chosen.

Each of the nine channels is capable of 90w into 8ohms, with the option of bridging two channels to give 290w output - so running a 5.1 setup from the SPA25, the front left/centre/right can be bridged for higher power output, and you'll still have enough channels left over to power your surround speakers.

As if the SPA25 didn't sound good enough already, DIRAC Live room correction insures you get the best out of your chosen speakers in any room. This allows measurement and correction up to 500Hz, but with a licence add-on (£99), the full frequency range can be corrected.

The SPA25 offers five analogue RCA inputs, two optical inputs, a coaxial digital input, a USB digital input, four HDMI inputs and two HDMI outputs, all capable of 4K, 3D, HDR/HDR10+, and DolbyVision. Pre-outputs are provided for the centre, the front left and right channels, and two subwoofers. IR input/outputs, a 12v trigger output , and two ethernet connections adds flexibility.

As part of Primare's PRISMA products range, the SPA25 offers all sorts of options for streaming. Network streaming of any music stored on the same network on NAS drives, computers, or servers such as Innuos can be accessed, either via LAN connection or WiFi. Music can also be played from a USB stick or hard driver connected to its rear USB-A connection. AirPlay2 and Bluetooth provide wireless streaming from phones and tablets, and Chromecast provides access to numerous music streaming apps, and Spotify Connect is native. A future update will add Roon to the list of options.
