The new SB17 subwoofer from SVS pushes yet further the boundaries of ultimate performance of compact subwoofers.
Replacing the SB16 Ultra as SVS' flagship subwoofer, the SB17 manages to maintain the width and height of its predecessor, and while adding about an inch to the depth, allows the new King to accommodate a 17" driver, which utilises dual 8" voice coils. The new dual-mono Class D amplifier to drive this is now 2800 watts continuous output compared to the SB16 Ultra's 1500 watts, which helps add an extra 3dB to its overall output. The SB17 is truly a worthy successor to the SB16.
A subwoofer relies on moving air to be able to bring you the punch, slam, and underlying menace of any movie soundtrack. SVS' 17" bass driver uses dual 8" voice coil, fulfils this with ease. This over engineered bass driver allows 15Hz - 320Hz at +/- 3dB, which is an impressive range for ANY subwoofer that digs this deep.
No driver is anything without suitable amplification though. The SB17 Ultra uses cool running, dual Class D power amplifier capable of producing massive 6000 watt peaks in order to cope with anything that James Cameron can throw at it.
And all this performance and technology from only a 20" square footprint.

XLR balanced and RCA unbalanced inputs allow connection from any system.
